This policy describes the personal data processing carried out on the main JL24Software site, why it happens, which legal bases apply, and how to exercise your rights.
1. Controller and contact
JL24Software is the controller for this public site. You can contact us at contact@jl24software.com.
The public site currently identifies JL24Software, Le Mans, France. This page can be expanded later if fuller legal identification details need to be published.
2. Processed data
We only process the data required to run the site, manage your requests, and protect the service.
- Contact form: full name, professional email, company or project, need type, budget, timeline, message, locale, and consent timestamp.
- Chatbot: the messages you send to request a generated reply.
- Minimal technical data: network information needed to secure the APIs and run abuse-prevention rate limits.
- Cookie consent: selected categories, consent timestamp, and policy version.
3. Purposes and legal bases
The legal basis depends on the purpose: pre-contractual steps at your request for contact enquiries, consent for optional preferences, and legitimate interest for site security.
- Handle a commercial or discovery request submitted through the contact form.
- Generate a chatbot reply from the messages you send.
- Apply your consent choices and interface preferences.
- Prevent abusive or excessive use of the site's APIs.
4. Recipients and processors
Contact requests are stored in the site-general SQLite database and are accessible to JL24Software for commercial follow-up.
Chatbot messages are sent to OpenAI in order to generate the requested reply. The application does not store them in a dedicated server database; only local browser history can persist if you enable Preferences.
No analytics or marketing recipient is active in the current version of the site.
5. Retention
Retention is limited to what is necessary for each purpose.
- Contact requests: kept while active, then purged by default 12 months after closure.
- Local chatbot history: kept in your browser until Preferences consent is withdrawn, data is cleared, or the browser storage is removed.
- Cookie consent choice: 6 months.
- In-memory abuse-prevention counters: short technical windows limited to security needs.
6. Your rights
Depending on your situation, you can request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, or objection where applicable, and you can withdraw consent whenever consent is the legal basis.
